Hrodna/Grodno [BY] - Renewal of the old bridge across a tributary of the Neman River concluded

On 09.10.2008 the Rumlevsky bridge, which used to be named the Stary bridge was reopened to traffic. This means that the Trolleybus routes which had been affected by it's closure are all slowly returning to normal operation. New Trolleybus routes 6 and 5 were opened on 10.12.2008 and 15.01.2009 respectively both of which traverse the newly reopened bridge.
The Trolleybus system is made up of 12 routes and 155 Trolleybuses are in regular service. Around a third of the vehicles have been acquired during the last three years. 10 new type ZIU-682G now known as ASKM 100 have recently been bought second hand form Minsk and numbered111 to 120. They are ex Minsk numbers 5183, 5172, 5164, 5260, TA5, 5107, 5180, 5176, 5170 and 5173. As well as these there are eight low floor Belkommunmash type 321 Trolleybuses, numbered 100, 102 to105, 122, 123 and 125, and twenty three type 201 hig floor Trolleybuses in te fleet.
