Rosario [AR] - Again under municipal control
J. Lehmann - 04.08.08
Route K continues to run from Mendoza & Wilde to Berutti & Riobamba, via the city centre. The former terminal turning facility at Sänchez de Loria was not retained when the route was extended to Buleyar Wilde in 2003, Two AIfa Romeo/Fiat/CGE trolleybuses of 1961, 28 and 39 (later 11) are stored at the depot, along with a large quantity of spare parts, from which it is hoped to restore one complete vehicie, when funding is available.
Following return to municipal control, the trolleybus operator is now Sociedad del Estado Municipal para el Transporte Urbano de Rosario. The trolleybuses carry a new livery of light grey with orange skirt and black window-surrounds, which had been applied to half of the fleet of twenty Marcopolo trolleybuses by the end of June. Trolleybus 5, which had been out of Service since a fire in 1995 after an operational life of only 18 months, returned to Service on 27th June 2005.
