2 new low-floor trolleybuses of the T12110 "Barvinok" type entered revenue service in September 2014. These have been produced at the JSC Chernigov Avtozavod works by the local company Etalon. A diesel bus of the A11110 make was used as the design model. The new units have been numbered as 485 and 486, with 485 actually being the series prototype first presented in 2012.
Through the addition of these 2 new units, the local trolleybus fleet now features a total of 7 low-floor vehicles, including 2 LAZ E183D1 built in 2008 and 3 Etalon-BKM 321 produced in 2011/12. During the past 3 years, about 15 older trolleys have been withdrawn, most of them Russian-built ZiU 682 dating from 1987-1992, as well as a handful of Ukrainian YMZ T1 from 1993/94. As such, the total Chernigov fleet presently consists of about 90 trolleybuses, which run on 9 different lines.
