J. Lehmann - 12.12.11
After the delivery for Schaffhausen, total production of the SwissTrolley3 has now reached 265 units, of which 37 were double articulated models. When you include the SwissTrolley1 and SwissTrolley2, which were built from 1991 to 2000 and the 9 DUO-buses jointly built with MAN for Fribourg, the total of SwissTrolleys comes to 323.
Production of the next batch of double articulated LighTram for Zürich began on 6th December 2011. Delivery of the batch is planned for between July to the end of November 2012. Two supplementary SwissTrolleys for Wintertur will follow in October 2012 while four units for Limoges are expected to be delivered at the end of 2012. A contract is expected to be signed soon for the delivery of 27 SwissTrolleys to Lausanne to be delivered from the end of 2012 to the middle of 2013.
At the moment Hess is making two double articulated hybrid buses for Hamburg and bus and trailer units for Zug. The buses for Hamburg are scheduled for delivery in February 2012. The HHA has acquired the buses for two years in order to test them exhaustively on its route 5.
At the moment there are no further orders for hybridbuses. Up till now 31 articulated and three double articulated hybrid buses have been delivered. Here is bus 800 of Hagen Tramways on 22 November 2011 at the main railway station.
