The inauguration of the Trambüs system in the Turkish city of Malatya is now expected for spring 2015, although no official date has yet been set. All technical installations along the new line have been completed and trials as well as driver training sessions continue. The 40 km long route has 42 different stops. The fleet of trolleybuses was produced by the Turkish company Bozankaya and includes 10 double-articulated units with a length of 24.7 m each. These have been numbered as 4401-10. The delivery of two additional, 18 m long articulated trolleys is also expected. The double-articulated vehicles have a capacity for 270 people and have just completed demanding winter trials, including 18-ton weight tests through the placement of sandbags in the bus interiors.
A modern depot has also been purpose-built for the new fleet; it features all of the relevant facilities for running maintenance as well as heavy repairs. A washing bay is part of the set-up.
