Our preparations for the 4th International e-Bus Conference are in full swing. Titled “Comparing e-Buses” the gathering will be a genuine “summit” of global leaders in this field. All participants will learn first-hand from industry representatives, research scientists and transportation managers about the latest technological developments and operations experiences related to electric road transport systems. We hope that you can join us on 17 and 18 November 2014 in Hamburg, Germany and will enjoy listening to a distinguished panel of 40 lecturers from 12 different countries. No doubt the conference will be a superb venue for networking and meeting up in person with political decision-makers and other leading subject specialists that have much knowledge and hands-on experience to share.

We are happy to use this opportunity to briefly present some of our most distinguished conference panelists and hope that their participation will also motivate you to attend:

Alberto González Pizarro, Project Manager at Keolis
will introduce the BRT system in Metz, France from an operational point of view. “Mettis” consists of two lines with a total length of 23 km and is one of the largest current public transport projects in France. The state-of-the-art vehicles have been produced by the Belgian manufacturer Van Hool. Specifically, these are electrically-powered diesel hybrid buses with super caps on the roof. Pizzaro’s presentation will also detail the general characteristics of the Metz BRT-system and explain its advantages for the passengers and the operator.

Małgorzata Olszewska is Marketing Director of Solaris Bus & Coach, the European market leader in the production of trolleybuses. The Polish company offers a complete product portfolio that includes hybrid buses, trolleybuses and battery buses. A wide range of modular options is available on top of that, allowing highly customized solutions for each different customer and city. Małgorzata Olszewska’s presentation will therefore enlighten anyone wishing to obtain more information about the vast capabilities and operational flexibility of electric buses.

On the 2nd day of the conference, Gustav Tuschen, Head of Development at Daimler Buses and Member of the Board at EvoBus GmbH will discuss the technological development of fuel cells. His lecture will focus on the path from initial innovation to actual operational use.

We look forward to all of these exciting presentations and hope to welcome you on 17 and 18 November in Hamburg. Our special thanks go to all of our sponsors, which will be present in the foyer with an individual company stand.
